NEW DELHI: President of the International Hockey Federation Leandro Negre said that the application of the disciplinary committee of the parent company could deal a severe punishment for Pakistani hockey players Muhammad Amjad Ali Tousiq and indecent especially for a hand or head post Champions Trophy semifinal against India. The (FIH) initially left two Pakistani players with a warning before a strong protest by Hockey India took the two offenders are banned for the final against Germany.

Every time a trouble condition occurs, the technical director of the tournament is the final call. The decision was taken just after watching the videos and pictures of the celebrations of the Pakistani players. The problem is with the discipline committee meet now decide what further action to be taken against the players, the senior leader of the FIH Negre said on Friday.

Reacting to allegations Pakistan coach Shahnaz Sheikh was a "conspiracy of India", punishing behind his players, Negre said it was personal view of Sheikh.

What the Pakistani coach has said is his view. I have my own opinion. The reaction of the Pakistani players was not polite at all. It was quite irritating. The International Hockey Federation did exactly what they had to do and Negre added the right decision (To ban two players). While Tousiq and Amjad were banned for the final, a third player in the center of the controversy (Shafqat Rasool) was left with a warning.

Olympian Shahnaz, after arriving in Pakistan, said the team was forced to tender an unconditional apology after Hockey India pressurized International Hockey Federation to take strict action against players, adding that the hosts did all this to cushion the team spirits before the final the next day.
